Beschreibung der Videos

Today's short film shows the highest elevated station of the world: Smith–Ninth Streets along the IND Culver Line. It is located in Gowanus, Brooklyn above the Gowanus Canal and is served by the F and G trains. Because of the height there is a very good view of Lower Manhattan from the station. Also briefly shown in the film is 4th Avenue Station.

Enjoy!

This is the second part of the series showing local and express service on the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines in London.

Between Baker Street and Wembley Park the Metropolitan and Jubilee Lines run parallel, while the Jubilee Line makes all local stops and the Metropolitan Line only stops at Baker Street, Finchley Road and Wembley Park.

In this film we continue our journey where we left off in the previous part. Stations shown are West Hampstead, Willesden Green and Neasden, which are only served by the Jubilee Line. Metropolitan Line trains run through without stop at high speed. The film ends at Wembley Park, which is a stop on both lines, and where in fact the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines diverge.

Rolling stock featured in the film is again the noisy 1996 Tube Stock on the Jubilee Line, as well as my favorite, S8 Stock on the Metropolitan Line.

The next part in this series will show the Metropolitan Line beyond Wembley Park, which is served by fast, semi-fast and stopping services, still providing a local and express service pattern.

Enjoy!
