Frodo awoke here once, in this serene, gorgeous and unearthly home of the Elves. Rivendell, also called Imladris, is an Elven outpost in Middle-earth. Located at the edge of a narrow gorge by the river Loudwater (one of the main approaches to Rivendell comes from the nearby Ford of Bruinen), it is well hidden in the moorlands and foothills of the Misty Mountains.

Do you want to go horseback riding with Legolas, Prince of Mirkwood, or would you rather go hunting with Tauriel? Maybe Galadriel will have some insight to share with you, or Arwen, future Queen of Gondor, will drop in for a visit...The sun is setting and wind is picking up- rest for a while on the cooling rock, watch the beautiful clouds and birds go by, close your eyes and enjoy the elvish evensong...
