ABOUT THIS FEED:
San Juan Capistrano, California, is located in Orange County, and is located on Metrolink's Orange Subdivision, the former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway (AT&SF) line between their mainline at Fullerton and San Diego.
The station sees about 24 Amtraks (Pacific Surfliner) and 16 Metrolinks (Inland Empire & Orange County lines) each weekday.
About 4 BNSF freight trains run overnight from Barstow, CA, to San Diego. They do not pass through Fullerton, as they must use the Olive Sub 5 miles east, at Atwood Junction.
The station was built in 1894 by the Santa Fe, in their typical Mission Style.
This is a designated quiet zone (QZ), but crews can use the horns at their discretion anytime. The crossing seen in camera view is no longer a street, and is now pedestrian-only.
There is an ATCS layout, but with little to no data (server) coverage.
There is a second radio feed available, covering not only the Orange Sub, but also the Olive and San Bernardino Subs: http://www.railroadradio.net/content/view/179/216/
The camera is a 360, providing full range of motion when an operator is present.
When’s the next train? Yeah, we get this a lot. You can figure out the next Amtrak passenger train with this handy, link: http://bit.ly/31bn58V

There’s no schedule for freight trains, but some of our more knowledgeable members will provide real-time information when it’s available. Please refrain from asking.

ABOUT THIS FEED:
The historic Harvey House Museum is the former Belen Harvey House of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway (AT&SF), predecessor of today's BNSF Railway.
You're looking at BNSF's Belen Yard, part of their Southern Transcon, the former Santa Fe mainline between Chicago and Los Angeles, and this is where the El Paso Sub from the South meets the Clovis Sub to the East. Actual track orientation here is north (west)-south (east). Trains going to the left will turn to the West.
Four BNSF subdivisions connect to Belen - Map : https://bit.ly/2XDpN5a
From this camera you'll see mainline freight headed in both directions, as well as the yard switcher.
In regards to the pushers (distributed power units, or DPU's) on westbounds, they are not fueled directly at the fuel pads, rather a fuel truck is driven back to the middle or (more commonly) the end of the train where the DPU's are located.
You'll also see carmen (inspecting trains) going back and forth on ATV's.
There is no Amtrak service here; their "Southwest Chief" bypasses Belen to the north as it heads to/from Albuquerque.
Even though there is an ATCS layout file available, there is no server coverage, so no data for the layout. No radio streams available.
There’s no schedule for freight trains, but some of our more knowledgeable members will provide real-time information when it’s available. Please refrain from asking.
